Pitch a Story
You can pitch us a story via email at Election10@ymail.com or send a twitpitch to Election10 on twitter or pitch via the comment section (it wont appear and we wont add it). The story should be about politics and ideally the forthcoming election and it should relate to the web. Leaks are good too.
Social Media is great, as it opens up channels of communication with the electorate, but without the support of ‘traditional’ media such as TV, Radio & Newspapers, it is still very hard for even the most internet savvy candidates to get viewers to their sites.
The Green party are quite strong in the South West, and Corinne Lindsey (standing for the Newton Abbot constituency) has surprised everyone by mounting a strong campaign with minimal resources. She appears in the lead position on a leading web pole (Newton Abbot People) and has embraced new media, even producing her own election video…but, Corinne is finding it really difficult to get any traditional media coverage.
